Český Krumlov
Český Krumlov, one of Europe's prettiest cities, is a living gallery of elegant Renaissance buildings, home to charming cafes, pubs, restaurants, shops and galleries. It has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1992. The city has been busy since the Middle Ages and the historic center is beautifully preserved.

(The castle is closed from October 31 to March 21; however, you can climb the tower and see the historical exhibition on site).
